I’m a bloodsucking fiend! Look at my outfit!

I'm happy to report that my Druscilla-inspired capelet is finally done! It took me a long time to finish, because I ran out of yarn for the collar, so I had to do some figuring to find another cable that would work. The pattern is the Lace and Cable Capelet from Vogue Knitting Holiday 2006, pattern 4, and the yarns are Kolibri purchased from a tent in my town's Christmas Market (the handpainted red wool) and Rowan Yorkshire Tweed. Project details are posted on my blog. As soon as this was on the blocking board, I cast on for my next Buffy-related project.

This will be a rectangular lace shawl, original pattern. This yarn is Handmaiden 4 Ply Silk Cashmere, and I think Tara would definitely wear these colors, handpainted yarns, and lace shawls. I recall that she wore a sweater twice in season 4 that was knit from handpainted or variegated yarn in a brown colorway. She also wore a blue lace top in season 5, episode Older and Faraway. Anyways, it dosen't look like much now, but I'll post more pictures when you can actually make out the lace pattern.
